ABSW mentoring scheme: register today for the pilot phase

Responding to feedback from our members, ABSW will pilot a one-to-one mentoring scheme pairing members with established science writers. 

Starting in April, the scheme will aim to match the aspirations or interests of a mentee with the career experience of a mentor. We will provide some guidelines to the mentor-mentee pairs when they're introduced and suggest that they spend about 45 minutes a month in direct contact, but leave it to each mentor-mentee pair to decide how they use this time.

At the three-month point we will evaluate the scheme, using participant feedback to shape the next phase that will roll out later this year.

Places in the pilot scheme are extremely limited and likely to be over-subscribed: please register your interest in participating as a mentee by 17:00 GMT Friday 12 March.
